Quick trip last night finished digging the last little square of ground around the courgette and planted some carrots in the open space next to the lettuce. I made a wide furrow about 5in wide and spread the seeds in this, they were free so it's worth a go.
Also checked the compost heap and its getting hot I will have to get some manure and grass cuttings to really get it going I think.
